The official list below outlines the time slots that are reserved - not confirmed exams. It is important to confirm with your instructor whether or not the final exam for the course will be held during this time period.

Locations

The Exam Schedule lists the locations in which DEP conducts operator certification exams. Exam pages for each exam are available for additional guidelines, conditions and guidelines and exam information. If you need special accommodations because of chronic disease, visual or hearing impairment, or any other disability Contact the exam center and provide a detailed information when you register.

The Faculty Dashboard in Workday offers a "View My Teaching Schedule", which allows faculty to locate their exam schedules. Additionally, the Registrar's Office has a list of exam times for classes in which an exam is required by NYSED regulations. Final exams for classes in the evening are scheduled during the regular class meeting times of the final exams.

Registration

Students are encouraged to consult the exam schedule online. It is important to remember that the schedule for exams can be altered at any time. This is why students should check with their instructors to make sure they have the correct date and time for their exam. Students should also print out the official list of questions to bring to their exam.


Students should also be familiar with the guidelines and conditions of the exam in addition to the exam schedule. They are available on the webpage for each exam. Students acknowledge they have read and agreed to the conditions and terms of registration.

Exam sites try their best to accommodate students with special needs. The nature and severity of these requirements should be noted on the registration and confirmed by a medical attestation. The locations for the exam must be able to respect confidentiality and keep it.

If students are scheduled to take three tests on the same day, they should contact their instructor or department in order to arrange for a make-up test. Although it is possible to take three tests in a single day, it can cause a high stress level and affect the quality of the exam. In addition, the professor might not be able to conduct a makeup test on another day.

Students should review their course materials prior to taking the exam and must practice their German skills. The exam is a test on paper that measures the ability to read, speak, and write in German. The results of the examination are presented using a scale ranging from A1 to C2. Students who pass the exam are awarded a Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate confirms that the student has reached language level A1. This level corresponds with the first level of the six-level scale of competency that is outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The test is free of charge. Fees

You must pay an examination fee in order to obtain the Goethe-Zertifikat (start German 1) after you have completed your Elan Academy studies. This fee is in addition to the course fee.

Practice tests let you get an understanding of the style, wording, and difficulty of the questions on the test. They let you assess your level, discover areas of knowledge that aren't covered and increase your chances of passing the test.

Please note that the exam fee isn't refundable. Exam results can only be sent via email and not by phone.
